New Avengers Trailer Sets New Record
MARCH 10, 2012 - Guess what! The new Marvel’s The Avengers trailer has set a new record since its debut a week ago. Marvel Studios announced that its trailer for this summer’s most highly anticipated movie has been viewed over 13.7 million times in the first 24 hours of its debut.
This is a new record for the most viewed trailer on iTunes (http://www.apple.com/trailers) and the iTunes Trailers app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The new trailer, unveiled on Wednesday, Feb 29, exclusively on iTunes, gives fans an exciting look at Marvel’s The Avengers - the comic book series first published in 1963 and has been a comics institution ever since.

In the movie, the world’s greatest super hroes team up when Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) join S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to protect the world from the dangerous villain, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
Marvel’s The Avengers is from Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures, produced by Kevin Feige and directed by Joss Whedon from a story by Zak Penn and Joss Whedon with the screenplay by Joss Whedon. It will be released on May 4, 2012.
