Tom Cruise, Mamma Mia Surprise in Golden Globe Nods

'Dark Knight' and 'Milk' Snubbed!

THE nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Globes Awards are out with quite a number of surprises. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Frost/Nixon" and "Doubt" led the list with five nominations each. "Button" and "Nixon" were among the Best Picture Drama nominees, which included "The Reader," "Revolutionary Road" and "Slumdog Millionaire".

However, favourites like "Milk" and "The Dark Knight" were snubbed.

Other major surprises included Tom Cruise (picture) and Robert Downey Jr for Best Supporting Actor in "Tropic Thunder." As expected, Heath Ledger got the nod for Best Supporting Actor too.
